SafeSite Upgrade Not Working

In some cases, users running older versions of SafeSite might encounter an upgrade loop.

This can occur when they are prompted to Upgrade now in the SafeSite app and are instead redirected to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, where:

  • There is no option to update the app
  • Only the Open option is available
  • Opening SafeSite returns them to the upgrade prompt

This loop can continue indefinitely.

The Solution

To force the SafeSite app to check for and apply the upgrade:

  1. Open the SafeSite app.
  2. Open the Menu.
  3. Select Diagnostics. The Diagnostic Information screen opens.
  4. Tap Check for app upgrades.
  5. When prompted, select Upgrade now. The app should now update correctly and exit the upgrade loop.
