Subcontractor Administrator Re-registers a SafeSite User

A subcontractor may need to re-register their SafeSite account if they have deleted the app off their phone or if they have bought a new phone.  A subcontractor administrator can generate a SafeSite Registration QR Code in the Virtual Super to re-register an existing SafeSite user.

In order for a subcontractor admin to re-register an existing SafeSite account, they need the User Admin permission enabled for your Virtual Superintendent account. If you do not have access to the Virtual Superintendent Users page, you do not have the right permissions to register or re-register SafeSite users. Speak to the head contractor admin in charge of the Virtual Super if you do not have the User Admin permission enabled.


Follow these steps to re-register an existing SafeSite user

  • Go to the Users page

    You will see a list of all of registered SafeSite users for your company.

  • Filter by typing the person's name in the filter area at the top of the Name column.
  • Click on their name to open the user's details
  • Press the User Registration Code button to open the user's Registration Code dialog

There are 2 options for re-registering

1. Send the user's registration code via text (SMS) or email. The user will copy the code to re-register their SafeSite account.

2. User scans the Registration QR Code (in the office) to re-register their SafeSite account.

NOTES:

  • The text and email have a link to the relevant app store where the user can install SafeSite on their phone
  • User will copy the registration code and paste into the SafeSite registration page.
  • The Registration QR code and the Numeric Registration Code can only be used once and will expire after 7 days.
