Virtual Super Arrivals and Departures
For earthworks projects using Virtual Superintendent software, the Arrivals Page enables project staff to track spoil and precast deliveries.
The Virtual Super Arrivals Page allows head contractors managing their earthworks project to control the flow of trucks as they arrive and depart specified load or disposal sites.
The Arrivals Page can be configured to display spoil arrivals and departures, as well as precast arrivals and departures, with each displayed in separate tabs.
- Spoil Arrivals: Displays trucks arriving at a specified spoil load site.
- Spoil Departures: Displays trucks departing a specified spoil load site.
- Precast Arrivals: Displays trucks heading to a specified delivery site.
Precast Departures: Displays trucks departing a specified delivery site.
NOTE: Precast arrivals and departures could display any large delivery, not just precast concrete.
Arrivals and departures must be enabled for your earthworks project, and requires integrations in order for the correct data to flow into the Virtual Super. If you are interested in having this enabled for your project, please speak to us at support@cloudscapelabs.com.
Required Integrations
Integrations must be created to allow precast or spoil arrivals and departures to display on the Arrivals Page. Once completed, each integration will display in a separate tab on the Arrivals Page, ordered alphabetically. There is no limit to the number of integrations an earthworks project can have, but each integration must be set up individually in order to define the load and disposal sites which will trigger a spoil arrival/departure or precast delivery.
Enable Trucks onto the Arrivals Page
Trucks do not automatically appear on the Arrivals Page. To enable their display, the driver arrivals control must be set to Yes in the sign-on profile assigned to the truck item code. When enabled, this control adds trucks to the Arrivals Page.
We recommend creating a dedicated sign-on profile, such as 'Truck spoil arrivals' or 'Precast deliveries' which can be applied to your truck item code.
Access to Arrivals Page
Once your earthworks project has been configured, you can navigate to the Virtual Super Arrivals Page if you have the Spoil Admin permission.
When drivers sign-on to the SafeSite app then create or are assigned a load, summary data is pushed to the Arrivals Page.
Please note, the displayed data has a 1-2 minute lag.
Precast
Trucks appear in the precast arrivals tab until they reach the delivery site, after which they display in the precast departures tab.
NOTE: Precast deliveries could be used for any large delivery to site.
Spoil
Trucks appear in the spoil arrivals tab until they reach the load site, after which they display in the spoil departures tab.
Definitions:
Estimated Arrival Time - The estimated time until arrival is based on the quickest route from A to B.
Estimated Distance (km) - The remaining distance, based on the quickest route from A to B.
Final Approach (1 hour) - Displays progress of the final hour of a journey.
Bookmark Arrival and Departure tabs
It is now possible to create a shortcuts to the different tabs on the Arrivals Page by setting them as a favourite. This allows users to navigate directly to the relevant arrivals board. If they are not signed-on when they click on the shortcut, they will be directed to the sign-on page before landing on the relevant tab.
