Install a Digital Matter Device using a Relay
Where you are sourcing ignition from an alternator’s relay terminal, the digital matter device may not correctly detect the voltage. Using a relay is an effective way to solve this issue.
The relay is triggered by the alternator power and will route a separate voltage to the Digital Matter device that it will detect when the relay is closed.
The following circuit diagram demonstrates how to install a digital matter device when using a relay for alternator power.
