Archiving/Unarchiving and Delete/Undeleting Dockets in the Virtual Superintendent

The following article explains the process of how a head contractor admin can Archive/Unarchive and Delete/Undelete dockets in the Virtual Super.

Archive and Unarchive dockets in the Virtual Superintendent

It is possible to Archive and Unarchive dockets in the Virtual Super.  Archiving gives you the control to manage your Dockets page.  Archiving means that the dockets will be hidden from view, allowing your Dockets page to load faster without losing the data.


In order to do Archive/Unarchive dockets, you must have the Admin, Admin Manager or Super User permission.

This video demonstrates the following actions:

  • Bulk Archive dockets
  • Show Archived dockets

*Depending on the size of your monitor, you may need to adjust the quality settings when you view the support movie.

Unarchive dockets:

It is possible to Unarchive dockets.

  • Press Display Options
  • Choose Show Archived
  • Select the relevant Archived dockets
  • Press Bulk Actions
  • Choose Unarchive
  • Press and confirm Unarchive in the dialog

NOTE: To leave this view and see all dockets for your project, press Display Options and select Hide Archived.

Processing Tasks Panel

When bulk editing, a Processing Tasks panel will display on the right side of the screen. This panel indicates if the bulk edit is processing or complete.

While the bulk edit is processing, it is possible to leave the Dockets page to access other areas of the Virtual Super. An icon notification will display (beside the Menu) when the bulk edit is complete.

Once editing is complete, it is possible to view a summary of the edit by pressing View Details in the Processing Tasks panel. The task at the top of the panel is the most recently completed task.


Delete and Undelete Dockets in the Virtual Super

There is a similar process whereby a Dockets Super User can Delete or Undelete dockets.


Delete an Individual Docket

Deleting an individual docket occurs from within the docket itself.

The user will need to:

  • Filter to find the docket
  • Click to open the docket details
  • Press the Delete button (bottom of the docket)

In the Delete Docket dialog, enter the reason that the docket is being deleted and press Save.


Bulk Delete Dockets

A Dockets Super User can also be deleted in bulk to save time.

  • Filter and select the relevant dockets from the Super User Dockets page
  • Press the Bulk Actions button
  • Select Delete


  • Press Delete then Confirm this in the dialogue.

Bulk Undelete Dockets

Follow these steps to Undelete dockets in bulk. 


  • Press the Display Options (top right)
  • Select Show Deleted
  • Select the relevant dockets
  • Press the Bulk Actions button (top left)
  • Choose Undelete
  • Press and confirm Undelete

Note: To leave this view, press Display Options and select the Hide Deleted option.
