SafeSite Smart Select Feature
The smart select feature provides SafeSite users with a few different solutions to overcome the time consuming task of using selection lists when creating or reviewing electronic dockets.
The smart select feature is available automatically to all new projects.
Existing projects who would like to make the smart select feature available will need to contact the Cloudscape team on support@cloudscapelabs.com and we will enable it across your project.
When enabled, the smart select feature makes it easier for a SafeSite user to select data from selection pages, e.g. selecting their chargeable item when creating a docket.
Smart Select Pages
The smart select feature is used on the following SafeSite selection pages:
- Item selection (chargeable items)
- Supervisor selection
- Location selection
- Engineer selection - for supervisors when reviewing dockets
- Cost Code selection - for supervisors when reviewing dockets
NOTE: The plant selection page can also support the smart select feature. This is enabled by Cloudscape separately and has some unique functions. The plant page smart select feature is explained in this support article.
Search Field
The smart select feature provides users with a Search filter at the top of each selection page and the ability to mark frequent selections as Favourites or view Recent selections.
Favourites
Where the user is frequently selecting the same option, e.g. the same Labour Item Code, they can designate it as a Favourite so that it will always display at the top of the selection list, in the Recents & Favourites section.
Designate a Favourite
Favourites are designated when a user is making a docket.
Tap the star beside the relevant option
A red star indicates that the option has been designated as a Favourite. In the future, this option will automatically display in the Recent & Favourites section at the top of the page.
Recents
In addition to Favourites, SafeSite will automatically remember the 5 most recently selected options and display these in the Recents & Favourites section.
If the user doesn't set any favourites, their recent selections will still be easy to find.
