Plant Page Smart Select Feature
The plant page smart select feature simplifies the process of signing-on to a machine when creating a docket in SafeSite. It provides users with a search filter to quickly locate machines, the ability to mark frequently selected machines as favourites or to view recent machine selections.
The plant page smart select feature is automatically available to any new projects starting with the Virtual Super.
Existing projects have the option to enable the Plant Page Smart Select feature. Contact the Cloudscape team on support@cloudscapelabs.com if you wish to discuss having this enabled for your project.
Search Field
A search field is available at the top of the SafeSite plant identification page. The user can type their plant ID/registration number into this field to quickly locate their machine from the list.
Alternatively, they can tap the camera icon (to the right of the Search field) and scan the machine plant ID/registration, then select the machine.
Recent & Favourites
The recent & favourites section allows the user to set frequently selected machines as favourites so that they always display at the top of the plant identification page.

Designate a Favourite Machine
Tap the star beside the relevant machine.
A red star indicates that a machine has been designated as a favourite. In the future, this machine will display in the recent & favourites section at the top of the plant selection page.
In addition to favourites, the user's 5 most recently selected machines will automatically display as recents in the recent & favourites section.
Machine Information
The user can view machine specific information in the Plant Identification page, including machine icons to help identify the machine type.
The user can tap on a machine to view the following machine specific information:
- Supplier
- Service status
- On-board Status
- Machine model
- Photos
If they attempt to select a machine that is unavailable, e.g. marked as out of service, a warning banner will display at the top of the page and they will not be able to complete the docket.

Enable the Plant Page Smart Select via Sign-on Profiles
In order to enable the plant page smart select feature, projects need to be using sign-on profiles.
If sign-on profiles are not currently available to your project, speak to the Cloudscape team on support@cloudscapelabs.com to discuss having this enabled.
When sign-on profiles are available to a project, these are applied to item codes to define the steps that a SafeSite user must take when signing-on to SafeSite.
It is within the details of a sign-on profile that the plant page smart select feature is enabled.
Sign-on Profile Example
Below, a new truck sign-on profile is being created. The admin has enabled the smart select feature in the sign-on plant control tab.

When this truck sign-on profile is applied to a truck item code, it defines the steps that a SafeSite user will take when they select a truck chargeable item in their docket.
Because smart select = yes, the user will have this feature available to them on their plant identification page.
